Class IV Laser Therapy
Class IV Laser can be used for:
-
Stimulating tissue repair
-
Improving healing time
-
Increasing blood flow
-
Decreasing swelling
-
Pain reduction
-
Muscle soreness
Laser therapy is beneficial for almost any condition where inflammation or pain is present. Class IV Laser treatment is FDA approved and provides patients a non-invasive, non-pharmacological alternative for pain relief and recovery. Laser therapy is used to treat both chronic and acute conditions as well as a pre and post-surgery treatment to help control pain and swelling.

Laser therapy is a medical treatment that uses focused light to stimulate a process called photobiomodulation, or PBM. During PBM, photons enter the tissue and interact with the cytochrome c complex within the mitochondria. This interaction triggers a biological cascade of events that leads to an increase in cellular metabolism, decrease in pain, reduction of muscle spasm, and improved microcirculation to injured tissue.
